Foram realizados mais de 80 atendimentos médicos de trabalhadores e trabalhadoras rurais, fechando o calendário de ações do programa no mês de maio
As fortes chuvas que caem em Alagoas desde a semana passada não impediram a realização de mais uma edição do Programa Saúde do Homem e da Mulher Rural no interior do estado, desta vez no município de Viçosa, na Zona da Mata alagoana.
O programa por lá foi encerrado na última sexta-feira (27), com a realização de mais de 80 atendimentos médicos de trabalhadores e trabalhadoras rurais, fechando o calendário de ações do mês de maio. O Saúde do Homem e da Mulher é uma iniciativa do Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural em Alagoas (Senar/AL).
Na quinta-feira (26), mesmo com a forte chuva que se abateu sobre as cidades da região, as mulheres compareceram ao Hospital Municipal de Viçosa para realizar o exame de citologia, preventivo para câncer de colo de útero. Carol de Araújo foi uma delas. Mesmo indo com regularidade ao ginecologista, ela não deixou passar a oportunidade de receber novo atendimento e foi uma das primeiras a chegar à unidade de saúde.
“Fiquei sabendo do programa pela agente de saúde do meu bairro. Ela me passou os detalhes e marquei para vir fazer o exame, que já fazia um bom tempo que não realizava. Gostei [da iniciativa] porque ajuda a gente a se cuidar um pouco mais”, conta.
Além do exame de citologia, as mulheres também assistiram a palestras que falam sobre cuidados com a alimentação e a importância da realização de atividades físicas para o controle do colesterol e da glicemia, evitando o surgimento de doenças como a hipertensão e o diabetes.
Orientações sobre como identificar casos de abuso sexual infantil também foram repassadas antes do início dos atendimentos, para que as mulheres possam ser agentes multiplicadores dentro das suas comunidades, ajudando as outras mães e esposas a denunciar esse tipo de crime.
A coordenadora do programa no Senar Alagoas, Andréa Almeida, destaca que além das palestras e do atendimento médico, os trabalhadores também recebem cartilhas educativas com os mais diversos temas na área de saúde. “São publicações que trazem informações importantes de forma bem didática, de fácil compreensão por todos aqueles que são atendidos pelo programa”, diz.
Para a realização do programa em Viçosa, o Senar Alagoas contou com o apoio da equipe da prefeitura, entre elas a coordenadora da Atenção Básica em Saúde, Letícia Amorim.
“Mesmo com a chuva forte, as pessoas se empenharam em comparecer para receber o atendimento, o que é um bom indicativo. Mobilizamos a nossa equipe multidisciplinar para atender a todos”, revela.
A secretária de Saúde do município, Nubia Moura, reforça que esse empenho da equipe é importante para ajudar a conter os números de casos de câncer de colo de útero. “A pandemia atrapalhou um pouco os trabalhos, mas temos conseguido dar uma atenção especial a todas as mulheres. O câncer de colo de útero é o terceiro maior em número de casos de câncer em todo o mundo”, completa.
Na sexta-feira (27), após o atendimento às mulheres no dia anterior, foi a vez dos homens serem atendidos pelo urologista Mário Ronalsa, que realizou o exame de toque retal naqueles que apresentaram alteração nos indicadores de PSA. O procedimento é necessário para casos suspeitos de câncer de próstata.
O aposentado Antônio Francisco dos Santos, de 78 anos, foi um dos atendidos pelo urologista. “Graças a Deus não estou doente nem nada. O médico me examinou e pediu para repetir o exame no ano que vem, sempre após um ano. Vou ao urologista com frequência, mas foi bom ter vindo para essa consulta também”, disse ele, que esteve na unidade de saúde acompanhado da esposa, Maria José da Silva Santos, de 76 anos.
Pouco antes de iniciar os atendimentos, o médico Mário Ronalsa fala um pouco sobre a importância da realização dos exames de saúde anualmente, em especial o exame de toque retal.
“É um exame importantíssimo e que não tira a sexualidade de ninguém. Além dele, o exame de PSA também é necessário para saber como está a saúde da próstata, e em caso de qualquer anormalidade, então encaminhar o paciente para o início do tratamento”, explica.
A próxima edição do Programa Saúde do Homem e da Mulher Rural está marcada para o município de Minador de Negrão, que vai abrir a agenda de ações do mês de junho na próxima quarta-feira (1°). Depois, nos dias 9 e 10, o programa volta à cidade para dar continuidade aos atendimentos médicos. Estrela de Alagoas também vai receber o programa, com a abertura por lá marcada para o dia 8 de junho.
